It's because my phone is ringing on average 100 times a day. I am not kidding. You may think this is an exaggeration, but oh my gosh, it is not. It's amazing how tedious and impossible even the most mundane everyday tasks become when; waiting for the toast to pop up - guess what? My phone rings, when drying off from the shower - guess what? My phone rings. In protest (I'm hungry and wet, dammit) I decide not to answer. Well it seems that most people nowadays feel the reason I am not answering my phone has nothing to do with my availability at the moment and more to do with my general level of hearing. Because guess what - They call back. Again. And again. Until I answer. I woke up early this morning in a cold sweat because of a nightmare where my phone was ringing nonstop. Only to get out of bed and realize, it was no nightmare - it was honest to god, real, at 5:30 a.m. The Realtor on the other end of the line wanted to know if he did indeed have until 12:00 p.m. today to get an offer to me. I'm all "is that what it says under "instructions"?" "Well yes, but I wanted to call you and make sure". And I am so glad you did because unlike most people that sleep during the night, I choose this time to make my phone calls, as well. When is the most inconvenient time to call you back? You have a baby who falls asleep about 8:00 p.m. Great. You'll be hearing from me about 8:30 p.m. And then again at 12:00 a.m. And then again at 4:00 a.m. JACKASS.
Now that the wedding is over, I think Jess and I need some new excitement in our lives. And why should this not include a polar bear? or a cutesy little polar bear cub? These pictures show how well Sam, Trooper and Snowflake will get along. Snowflake is the name I've chosen for my playful, docile polar cub. He can live in the backyard - we've got the pond and everything. I see no holes in this plan.
Since Hofberger is not the easiest name in the world (it's no Brown), I think I'll be saying this alot from here on out. It's official, Jess and I are married! We just returned from Cabo San Lucas where we had the most amazing time! Our actual wedding was on April 12th, but was surrounded by mucho events. 40 of our family and our closest friends joined us in what turned out to be the best week of my life!
I apologize for not posting, but as you can see, I've been a bit distracted. I promise to get back on the wagon (or would it be off?) when it comes to my writing. See you all soon!
