My adorable niece, Savanna, is making headlines in "The Acorn", a local town newspaper out of Agoura Hills, California. The cover story was about a film festival at the local middle school. Out of the 35 films entered, Savanna took the cake for favorite movie (the Oscar equivalent of best picture - for real), and her cast took home the best acting award..
"Seventh-grader Savanna Brown wrote the screenplay and directed "The Case of the Missing Lip Gloss." A coming of age tale of the ebb and flow of friendship, the film won two of the top four awards."
"Savanna said the moms in the movie never gave up on their daughters and arranged for the girls to spend a weekend together. When two of the girls lose their favorite, strawberry flavored lip gloss from Victoria Secret, they rally together to hunt it down and in the process discover "their true friendship with each other," she said."
"When I get older I plan to go to film school and then to become either a director or producer or editor, really anything that involves working with movies," said Savanna, who appears to be on the right track."
I totally understand how Victoria Secret lip gloss has the power to heal frienships . This is such a timeless tale...
