I am heading to Wisconsin today. Soon. I shouldn't even be writing this because there's, oh, 23 things that still need to happen before I depart for the airport. One of those being "need to find home for dogs". Shit. I hate when I forget that one.
We're heading to Wisconsin to have our 'at home wedding reception'. I didn't know you were recently married, you may be thinking. But I was, and we were, on April 12, 2008. We didn't want a big hub bub so we ran off to Cabo with some family and friends. The 'at home wedding reception' is the anti-no-big-hub-bub so really is like undoing everything we've done. Except for you really can't undo Cabo, or lifelong vows. So erase that last sentence. Jess grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. Kinda near Green Bay (screw Favre - I hope he tears a meniscus). On lake Winnebago. Anyway, that's where we're headed.
I have some guest posts lined up, so be sure and stop by. I'll check in, if I have a moment....
ONE MORE THING...
I was a total stress case this morning. Wait, I still am a total stress case, but that's not my point. When I opened my e-mail this morning, Miss Lorrie was all "comona ovah" or whatever, so I did, and she said I looked like Drew Barrymore - which, oh my goodness, had me rolling in hysterics because if you've met me in person, I so do not look like Drew Barrymore. Ha, ha, he, he, ho, ha, ho, ha.
Let me compose myself.... Because I am getting married this weekend. Again. And I am in a genuinely good mood. And I DEFINITELY don't look like Drew Barrymore, I want to have a contest. And why not?
Here's the deal. Leave a comment below telling me what celebrity you resemble. Even if you don't see it, but have been told you resemble this person, that is enough.
Winner will be drawn at random. On Tuesday. No, let's do Wednesday, it's my birthday. It will be my birthday present to you -whaaa??
Prize is $50 gift to Pottery Barn, or Target, or Bass Pro Shops. Your choice. Aren't I something?
Tell all your friends...and start commenting...

When I was a little girl, people told me I looked like Bette Midler. I don't think so, but it has been mentioned.
Now, did I win?

Crap. My post got accidentally deleted.
Note to self: Add typing skills to Life List.
Anyway, as I was saying, congratulations on getting married twice. Isn't it fun?
DH and I did that because we got married in a Lutheran church and then to appease the Greek side of the family, we got blessed a year later in a huge deal in a Greek Orthodox church.
Double presents - score!
Anyway, no current look-a-likes (except some fantasies which are not so much look-a-likes as wanna-bees)
When I was in high school, I looked like Lani Schweiker (obscure reference to local PA politician Richard Schweiker - a former US congressman and senator) and Dorothy Hamill - wait that might have just been another wanna-bee since I had the hair cut.

It said Diane Lane was my look-a-like! Woohoo!

Actually, I wrote a post about this a while ago on my blog. I went to MyHeritage.com or something and it said I look like Brian Dennehey.
I've always thought that he would make a beautiful woman, and now we know that he does!

yay or nay?
I don't quite buy it, I'm not easily fooled, but I'll take it. :-)

I look like Sharon Stone. I was even at the Sundance festival once and was mistaken for her all night. Got me to the front of all the lines :)

I'm told that I'm the double of Al the Toy Collector from Toy Story 2.
I cannot send the pictures but check out my blog where I have posted a picture of Al and there's a picture of me in the masthead.
Have fun,
Colin

In my opinion, you are prettier than Drew. Have a wonderful second wedding!
People used to say that I looked like Valerie Bertonelli, or Sally Fields.
My husband looks a bit like Al Gore and when Gore was running for president, he heard it all the time!
Hugs,
Debbie

BASS PRO SHOPS?! I'm so in like Flynn on this one!
So, yes, the celebrity thing. Andie MacDowell is the one I've gotten the most. It's the curly dark hair--people can't see past it. Because otherwise, I look NOTHING like Andie MacDowell.

Damn you long-term memory, I cannot recall the exact clebrity (that could also be because I didn't know who she was in the first place due to my pop-culture deprived upbringing). I do remember looking her up and thinking she was kind of homely. So whoever offered that comparison way back when, thanks for nothing.

Being a redhead I get every look alike comment from Nicole Kidman to Isla Fisher. I've also heard I look like the chic from Enchanted, the girl from Desperate Housewives and once someone told me I look like the white version of Halle Berry. LOL!!! Who would have thought my face was so versatile. ;)

I love this contest. How fun.
Here are the people I have been told I look like, none of whom look like each other:
1) Mariah Carey (lots of people have told me this one)
2) The Madame, Heidi Fleiss (one lady at a drive-thru cleaners told me this and I was depressed for a week.)
3) Oprah Winfrey (My sisters tell me this. They also say my brother looks like Eddie Murphy. And, he does. And, we're all peach.)
4) Scarlett Johanssen (a former boss told me this. She must have wanted me to come back to work for her.)

When I was in college I was told by a few people that I looked like Patricia Arquette. I never did see it and I still don't. Love your website by the way!

I've been told I look like Jodie Foster by many people. (I see it a little, but she has a much skinnier body and angular face.) But one of those people was my dentist and he specifically said I looked like Jodie Foster in Freaky Friday which was not a cute time for her.

Good luck with the reception. I'm excited to see the pictures! I think I look like Strawberry Shortcake :), but I have had a few people tell me I look like Nicole Kidman (besides the strawberry blonde hair, I don't see it) and one person tell me I look like Tara Reid (Gawd, I hope not).

I have been told I look like Cameron Diaz (more than once!) so clearly, there is a vision epidemic sweeping the Salt Lake Valley. I have also been told I resemble the woman on "Third Rock from the Sun" (I should be so lucky). However, my personal favorite is that my personality most resembles Natalie on "The Facts of Life" (which I took as a great compliment. No seriously, I did!).

I've been told before that I resemble Julianne Moore, Nicole Kidman, and even a young Meryl Streep. I don't see it. I could only be so lucky. Must be the red (strawberry blonde) hair.

I used to look like Rebecca DeMornay-and got it all the time when I was young. Now I look like Rebecca DeMornay after a tragic car accident which caused her to be on steroids for two years.
Happy Wedding-Happy Early Birthday--and why do you have so many good looking commenters?
PS-Hellllo: that avitar photo of you is soooo Boys on The Side.

When I was in Junior High I had a friend whose Dad look exactly like Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) in Gone with the Wind. She told her Dad that I said that so he said I looked like Scarlett O'Hara (just to be nice). Funny because I am named after Ashley Wilkes (also in Gone with the Wind). Even though he was a male character my Mom loved the name.

Ummm...I just asked Corey and he said I used to look like Uma Thurman (I think he means that I used to have her same hair from Pulp Fiction) and that's as far as the resemblance goes. But, actually, these kids at the mall told Corey he looks like John Corbin from My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Just last week. Hahahhahahaha!!

I can't believe I'm about to write this, but back in the day of Life Goes On (remember that show? with Corky?) I might have had big ugly glasses and the same haircut at Becca. MAYBE.
Other than that, I got nothin'. What a sad little life I lead!
Happy post wedding, pre-birthday!

I was told that I look like britney spears...but that's only because I was in mexico and I had blonde hair. So any time they see a blonde american they would say..."oohhhh britney spears!"

Oooh, oooh, oooh. So, who won?!
