Last Thursday, while in Portland, I found out that we lost a good friend that day. And despite my fabulous weekend, I was sad and angry.
Our good friend, Drew, took his own life last Thursday morning. Just 6 weeks after getting married to the love of his life.
This is the first person in my life that has committed suicide who will never call my phone again. That would call my phone often. Who had an unusual crush on my husband (who could blame him?). Who would raz me about my fashion decisions.
Please send all kinds of prayers and goodwill this way...his wife's way...
I'm off to the funeral...

Oh Sarah I am so saddened by this ... you, your man, the wife and family - dearie me - where do you start to make it all right again ... you have my love during this sad and difficult time - le

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Drew. My grandmother committed suicide before I was born and whenever I hear about someone else, my heart always aches that I never got to meet my grandmother.

Oh, how awful.
It's so sad when someone can't see past the bleakness to better times ahead.

I'm so very sorry to hear this. A fellow friend and coworker that was laid off the same day as myself took his life a week later. You go through all the stages, hurt, anger, sadness but the shock just doesn't go away. I'll keep you and his family in my prayers. *hugs*

Lord have mercy. Dear God. WHY? I guess that is what we always ask. RIP Drew. And, supernatural strength and endurance for all your beloveds.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to his family and friends. My brother went the same way just over 2 years ago - and so I speak from experience when I say I hope they are able to remember that he (even if he seemed happy and had just gotten married) must have been suffering inside and is now at peace.
